Over the years, I’ve had the great fortune of being able to write about various subjects and make a living out of it. Here are some examples of my professional writing. Currently, I serve as a Marketing Communications Writer & Editor for Stetson University, and my primary duty is writing and editing stories for Stetson Today, the school’s online news site.

    From a lone bison gazing at the viewer with sternness verging on disdain to the Statue of Liberty surrounded by the glow of flames and a quote from the Bible, the chalk murals Stetson’s studio art students painted on the side of the Elusive Grape building in Downtown DeLand responded thoughtfully to the theme for the first-ever Color on Main exhibition, America 250.

    Twenty-five years after the devastating attacks that shocked the nation and the world, the Stetson community came together on Friday, Sept. 11, to remember 9/11 and the lives taken in the terrorist attacks by placing 2,977 small American flags representing the victims near the Stetson flagpole.

For Dealer eProcess, a website & digital marketing agency serving car dealerships in the U.S. and Canada, I wrote SEO marketing content focusing on automotive products and services.

In a given month, I would write for multiple client accounts, covering new models freshly arrived on their dealership sales floors. Coming up with unique ways to write about the same models being sold at different OEM dealers located all across North America was part of the challenge — a challenge I gladly took on by scouring OEM websites for little-known product specifications to highlight and tailoring each content marketing page to align with the dealer’s geographical location and customer base.

Overall, I wrote for automotive OEMs including Toyota, Honda, Subaru, Mazda, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Kia, Hyundai, Volkswagen, Ford, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram, adhering to brand guidelines and asset compliance.
